Amity Staff Charity Game

"On Saturday, January 26th at Amity High School, the middle school staff defeated the high school staff 62-58 in a charity basketball game. There was also a raffle and some fun games for the fans. Many prizes were awarded and the fans also viewed the Jimmy V. 1993 ESPY speech. We were able to raise nearly $800 for the V Foundation with game ticket and raffle ticket sales alone. Mr. Cofrancesco is hoping to get some donations returned this week to add to the total. Donation forms will be available in the main offices at each school if anyone would like to bring us closer to our $1000 goal. Overall, the event was a lot of fun and I believe it can be improved upon for next year. Special thanks to Debbie Davis for announcing the exciting action. Thanks to all who played (Mr. Norton, Mr. Orie, Mr. Cofrancesco, Mr. Elwell, Mr. Snyder and Mr. Carmichael) and attended. Nice job to Ms. Meyer and Mrs. DeMeo who competed in the dizzy bat race. Also, thanks to Bobby Carbone, Paul Mengold, Paula Cofrancesco, Angela Santacroce and family, and all Amity boys basketball players for making the event possible.

Hope to see you all next year!"
